While most garden rooms won’t need planning permission, if a homeowner wants to add a water supply for a shower, WC or sink area, then it’s almost certain that building regulations approval will be required. The good news is – as the Simmons household found out – Outsiders Garden Rooms are well versed in planning rules and we can sort the whole permissions process out for you

Large sliding doors

  • Plumbing and drainage
  • Decking area
  • Strengthened overhang for hanging chair
  • Ballet barre
  • Mirrored wall

Based in Totteridge, the family had ambitious visions of taking our Suite model and adapting it into a multi-use space that incorporated a WC, kitchenette, lounge area and exercise zone.

After undertaking excavation works to incorporate the necessary plumbing and drainage, we collaborated to design a tucked-away luxury pavilion set down a set of slate steps beyond the lawn and framed by existing foliage that we carefully worked around.

Kitchen and bathroom installed

Serene and sophisticated, the interior ticks every one of our client’s needs. A coordinated kitchenette and WC, united by the same geometric tiling and carbon-coloured grouting.

A mirrored feature wall and barre for ballet practice. A spacious living area for cinema nights in. And outside, a deck area and strengthened overhang where a hanging chair takes pride of place for downtime on sunny days.

‘Our clients can be confident in discussing their needs, however ambitious. We work with every customer to accommodate their every whim, and take the pain out of the process.’
