When the Udaondo family have guests, they can come and go as they please without disturbing anyone in the main house. How? Their stunning new room at the end of their garden has a dedicated separate entrance that leads straight onto the street.

A little hallway leads you to an elegant en-suite WC and shower room before opening out onto a bright sofa bed and desk area that completes this charming annexe.
This attention to detail is a result of close collaboration with Rob and our team to achieve a bespoke room that answer every practical and aesthetic need of the family.

On the house-facing side, black aluminium sliding doors with floor-to-ceiling fixed panels open up to external steps, colourful planters and a pretty patio area that’s big enough for summer entertaining.
Skylights to both rooms flood the space with light by day, and electric blinds provide privacy at night.
You might think that with so many practical features, a multi-use space like this is only possible with a big garden. But after some clever planning, we managed to fit lots of practical solutions into one relatively small city plot. That includes a hidden underfloor storage area, made possible by elevating the room off the ground to align with street level to the rear..
