Like many families who love their home but don’t have the room to expand, busy family man Dario wanted space to spread out, but the house was at capacity.

Dario needed extra space to use as an entertainment room for himself, his family and their guests, as well as a mini gym to house a treadmill, bike and weights area.
The final build is a private room with a view that is very much a hideaway, tailored to Dario’s favourite things to do – right from the hand-built bar and DJ area and surround sound music system that’s perfect for a party, through to the gym space that has a place for every bit of his workout equipment.
The thing that I love most about my garden room is that it feels like an extension of our house.
Besides being an entertaining and workout space, the garden room has a sofa area that’s flooded with light through floor-to-ceiling and lozenge windows, and heaters that warm up those cosy winter evenings.
When the family’s not using the room as a social space, it easily turns into a tucked away nook for quiet reflection away from the lively household, or for chilled out evenings in front of a movie.
The Client’s Verdict
During the design and build I was pleased with the team’s attention to delivering a quality build from when the ground was being dug out to the last picture being hung on the wall. Each of the team “care” about the final product and no corners were ever cut by them.
They were a very low maintenance crew, clean, polite and hard working. Rob was always available throughout the process to answer questions or would get in contact if he felt something else was required.
Outsiders are the best at what they do in London/surrounding counties area and if not nationally. Each project is bespoke and they don’t hard sell or try to push a standard/cookie cutter approach to your build. I would always recommend Outsiders for anyone who was serious about installing a quality product built for a lifetime.
