It might sound dramatic to think that a garden room can be life changing, but the Holden family insist that their new outdoor room is just that. ‘As a family, we use it every day. The kids love it for sleepovers, movie nights and gaming. My wife does Pilates in there most mornings. And now I can watch as much football as I like, as loud as I like. Result!’

With a Bespoke brief to create a roomy space that’s versatile enough for every member of the family to enjoy, Outsiders created a design that maximised the entire bottom of the garden.
Burnt Cedar Millboard cladding beautifully complements the sleek patio furniture and black planters framing the lawn, while industrial, Crittall-style bi-fold doors echo the windows of the main house and open wide onto a generous and elegant entertaining space within.

The interior is elevated by Scandi-style ply lining to the ceiling and walls thrown into beautiful relief by recessed lighting.
And the pièce de resistance has to be the built-in media wall that features an impressive TV screen and cleverly disguises a hidden storage area.
