The Azzopardi’s modern-meets rustic garden room in Chingford is all about light. Wide, sliding doors, a garden-framing picture window, lozenge window and huge skylight combine to ensure illumination in their expansive office and playroom at any time of the day.

Wide decked entrance

  • Large sky light
  • Picture window
  • Hard wood decking and soffit feature
  • Rear access storage
  • Internal walk-in storage room
  • Pocket door

A carefully considered range of task and accent lighting also ensure brightness and ambiance both inside and out – from directional and recessed spotlights to nautical style brass wall lights and a handsome carriage lantern at the entrance.

This attention to detail is a result of close collaboration with Rob and our team to achieve a bespoke room that answer every practical and aesthetic need of the family.

Exposed beams

This project that let our craftsmanship shine through beautifully turned woodwork – giving our team the chance to show off their outstanding joinery skills to the max.

Instead of concealing the exposed timber with plaster and board, homeowner Tom wanted a stripped back, showstopper beamed ceiling that elegantly combined the traditional with the contemporary.

Working with Outsiders was an exceptional experience. From the outset, their approach was professional, thoughtful, and genuinely customer-focused. The build also featured some truly masterful carpentry from Ben, Joe, Chris, Rob, Neil, and Charlie – their craftsmanship and attention to detail were second to none. We’re not just happy with the finished space – we’re genuinely proud of what was achieved. The result is a reflection of the skill, care, and integrity of the team behind it.’
