This was exactly the kind of dedicated environment our St Albans client wanted when both he and his partner went freelance and decided to work from home. The chic Grey Composite clad Lodge at the bottom of the client’s garden houses a bright, inspiring room with two work stations and plenty of room to expand should their business grow.

…The separation from the house allows me to work uninterrupted and allows me to properly switch off when I down tools for the day.

The cabin is much more than functional though. At the entrance, there’s a wonderfully spacious decking area that can turn inspirational meeting space when needed, and a pergola feature along with an outdoor power point make the structure ripe for a pretty climbing plant and fairy lights.

We foresee an office that will be a joy to work in and where that Monday feeling will be a thing of the past.

The Client’s Verdict

Had Rob and his team build us a garden room in Sept 2023. We’ve been using it daily ever since and the guys at Outsiders really did a terrific job. The guys were a pleasure to have around, they worked neatly and quickly – the whole process took about 2-3 weeks from memory and everything arrived when they said it would with minimal disruption.

Most importantly they were happy to accommodate us when we changed our minds on a couple of bits during the process and worked with us in a consultative way. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and having had the benefit of this space for almost a full year I can vouch for these rooms being genuine all weather usable spaces…it’s like having another part of the house at the end of our garden!
