Our client wanted an annexe for guests that had all the interior sophistication of a chic hotel room, so we incorporated an en-suite bathroom, lounge/sofa bed area, air conditioning, and finishing touches such as wall lights and traditional wall toggle switches in antique brass.

Chic working from home space

  • Bespoke desk and storage space
  • Plumbing and drainage
  • Shower room
  • Air conditioning
  • Internal wall lights

With every home comfort, this Bespoke garden room in Dulwich could be an exquisitely designed sitting room in a house.

With a huge amount of space to work with, the client had the luxury of including a substantial shower room into the design, as well as hidden storage for stashing any household bits and pieces out of sight. And when guests aren’t using this welcoming space, the owners have the use of a bespoke built-in desk with space for two.

Living room with workspace

In the summer months, the doors open wide onto a leafy patio seating area.

As always, we’re incredibly conscientious about preserving an established planting scheme, so we were incredibly careful to work around the surrounding trees and trellis – all of which provide privacy for visitors.

When a client doesn’t have space in their home for guests staying over, a garden room is the perfect solution. The beauty of a Bespoke garden room is that we design from scratch, so we have the versatility to make it many things to many people. Like this one in Dulwich. When it’s not putting up guests, it’s a beautiful, shaded space for home working.
